Dreams Do Come True!

From my earliest memories, animals have been constant companions in my life, ranging from dogs, cats, birds, and ferrets to the more unconventional presence of rabbits, horses, and even a cow. A life without a feline friend has been unimaginable, creating a bond that has enriched my existence. As a pet owner, I've experienced the immeasurable joy and reciprocal love that animals offer, shaping my perspective on a world that, for me, is incomplete without their presence.

The dream of writing children's books has been a beacon since my college days, fueled by an innate passion for storytelling. However, the journey of parenthood, marked by the responsibility of raising three children, and the financial challenges that followed, temporarily diverted my focus from this dream. Life took an unexpected turn when, at the age of 40, an ATV accident resulted in me fracturing of every bone in my face. It was oddly a transformative and divine moment that urged me to reassess my choices and chart a new course for my life.

Keke's presence has come full circle, reigniting the spark that inspired my desire to write children's books 38 years ago. As I embark on the journey of capturing Keke's adventures and shenanigans in words, I hope to share the same joy, laughter, and life lessons he has brought into our lives with children and readers alike.

May Keke's whimsical tales resonate with the hearts of young readers, fostering a love for animals and the magical world of storytelling. 

 In 2020, a significant chapter unfolded as my sister-in-law and I established a non-profit rescue sanctuary for horses. This endeavor felt like a culmination of purpose. A calling that resonated deeply within. Just when I believed I had found my true path, the serendipity of 2021 introduced four abandoned kittens into my life. Answering a friend's call for help, I not only rehomed these feline companions but discovered a muse in Keke, one of the kittens who embodied a spirit of life, happiness, and gentleness, albeit with a comical inability to hunt and an unwavering friendliness even to the quirkiest characters.
