Midnight Star Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) charity organization located in Washington State.

We work both independently and with other non-profit organizations to carry out our mission, which is: To rescue all animals in need and to protect them for life. We take in animals from all over the United States of America. We save animals from slaughter, neglect, surrender, and abuse. Sadly, most have been passed from owner to owner, never having a real family or in some cases herd mentality. When rescues arrive at our sanctuary, they are home and safe.

Each rescue receives consistent care, training, and space to recover, for however long they need. If an animal cannot recover, they live for as long as they are comfortably able, and ‘cross the rainbow bridge’ with dignity and friends by their side. Our animals do not live or die alone.

Working closely with our professional team of specialists, we make our decisions based on what is best for each animal and the sanctuary family. We strive to create the right environment for each animal in need. Our horses live in herd groups within dynamic, natural environments which create vital bonds that are honored and protected.

While adoption is not our focus, selected animals and horses may be available to adopt, under a limited contract, to the right home. We will be working closely as well with foster parents and sponsors to help with there every day care. Midnight Star Sanctuary also educates owners and the general public about the wretched conditions many animals suffer through. We show them how they can improve the physical and emotional guardianship of ALL animals.
